Hi guys today I thought I’d bring you the recipe for the coleslaw I uploaded on my Instagram. It’s super easy and super tasty!
You will need:
500g fat free greek style yoghurt.
X1 small cucumber.
X2 tbsp of sweetener.
X2 tsp of mint sauce.
Half a white cabbage.
A box grater or food processor (I used a grater)
A big mixing bowl.
Empty your Greek yoghurt into the bowl.
Grate the cucumber into the yoghurt.
Add x2 tbsp of sweetener, and X2 tsp of mint sauce and give it all a good mix.
Then grate your onion, carrots and white cabbage and add them to the bowl.
Then leave it for a while in th fridge so the yoghurt can absorb the flavour. I left mine about 15 minutes in the fridge, whilst I made the rest of my lunch.
Finally sit back and enjoy.
Due to the change in syn value sweetener per table spoon is syned. The sweetener and mint sauce in the recipe equal 1.5 syns. But this recipe makes a big amount of coleslaw so it is syn free on a day to day basis. You could however make a note in your food diary for 1.5 syns if only you will be eating this so those syns are still counted. If this recipe is going to be divided between other people then it would be syn free.
Hi guys today I’m bringing you the gorgeous oat cheerios cereal bars. They are 4 syns for the whole lot, if you plan on eating them all and using the oat cheerios as your Healthy extra. Or 2 syns each when cut into 5. I went for the latter.
You will need:
40g oat cheerios
40g sainsbury’s no added sugar marshmallows (or any other marshmallows of your choice, just make sure to check the syns!)
First start out by weighing 40g oat cheerios (which is 6 syns if you are doing the 2 syns each bar option like I did.)
Next step is to weigh out 40g of marshmallows which are 4 syns (remember to check syn value if you are using different marshmallows to those stated)
Next you need to melt the marshmallows in the microwave for 20 second’s.
Then you need to grease your tin with fry light and rub it in.
Using your spoons and hot water you now need to mix your cheerios and marshmallows together and transfer them to the tin.
Set them aside in the fridge to set a little. Then cut them into 5 making them 2 syns each when not using as a healthy extra.
On the 25th January 2017 I decided to stop drinking cows milk. This was after watching sugar free farm the night before. Where I discovered a shocking fact…
Now this might sound really dumb but I genuinely never knew.
I discovered that a cows right to breastfeed their calf is taken away! So that all of their milk can come to us.
As a breastfeeding mother this really hit a nerve for me. I’d hate if someone came to me and said you’re not breasfeeding your daughter, but we will use your milk for our benefit.
So I’ve now been free from drinking cows milk since the end of January and I’m still going strong.
My next challenge is to change my yoghurts to dairy free ones.
I have become vegetarian before but I think I tackled it to quickly and I nolonger am so I think doing little steps like this will help me become vegetarian again but if I’m doing it slower, I should hopefully be able to keep it up.
But for now I’m nearly 2 month in on not drinking cows milk which I’m chuffed about.
Monday 6th February means one thing, weekly Monday weigh in. But I was left deflated this week…
Last week I worked hard I stayed on plan, I had 2 days slightly over the 15 syns, but all slimming world friendly. My weekly syns came in under. But I stepped on the scales this morning to be presented with 0.5lbs gain 😦
I am so disappointed. The only thing I can think of is because I went back to enjoying my syns if I wanted to. The week before I heavily restricted because of 3 birthdays that week. So 4 out of 7 days I did low to no syns and I stayed within my syns goal on the 3 birthdays so it might be because I’ve gone back to 5-15 syns.
Not the result I wanted 😦
On a positive note I earned my body magic bronze award. (Again)
Hi guys so Monday I finally got an award on my new slimming world membership. (this is my 3rd)
October to December I messed about so much!
Lose gain, lose gain cycle sucks.
January 1st came though and I vowed to get my head in the game! And I did. I lost 5lbs (that’s after 3 birthday’s in 1 week) got slimmer of the week and my half stone award (again) putting my total weight loss since very first joining slimming world on April 2015 to 4 stone 3.5lbs and I’ve had a baby in that time as well who is now 8 months old. Here she is now
On top of all that my weight from January 1st to February 1st has dropped 13.5lbs and my inches have also dropped 13.5inches!
But if that wasn’t enough me and my husband where then voted the couple of the year. So thrilled!
Hi guys been meaning to post this for a while now. Sorry for the delay. So the other week I decided to try something new. A cheesy tuna “om’panini” which translates to a cheesy tuna omelette which hits the spot if you are craving, like I was, a tuna cheese panini.
Picture 2 is made with eat lean protein cheese I got mine from Lidl for £2.49 but you can buy from Tesco or Waitrose aswell. It is a little more costly from these stockists but I think Lidl is only doing it for a short amount of time. You can have 70g for a Healthy extra! But you only need half for this recipe.
The recipe is really simple. Its:
1 tin of tuna
Crack 3 eggs into a jug. Whisk. Add the tuna. Whisk again.
Spray a frying pan with Frylight. Add the egg and tuna mixture. Top with cheese. Then when I make an omelette I put a lid on the frying pan as it helps to stop it sticking.
